Map Description:

The Lack of Iron and the slow speed of production of Stone blocks is really starting to drag the fortress down. The lack of armour means my dwarves cannot safely spar (I already have 3 Nerve Injured Champions from wrestling unarmed alone) If goblins come heavily armed and armoured and I am unable to defeat them, then gods help us all D:

Where are you getting your stone from?

Theres a Quarry just to the north, It goes down several Z levels. That's mainly why the top level (the only one visible in this) Is completely devoid of stone.

You mentioned a statue people live in... I am greatly intrigued by this.

Yeah, I kinda want to build some giant monument. But I'm not sure what. Currently I'm thinking of building a giant sword or something and then dividing it up into rooms. What I've started so far is "The Project" So it hasn't started very well.

Failing that, A Giant lava-cast obsidian Monolith. With smoothed walls. And stuff.

Edit: Hey I know, I'll make all these useless metals into blocks and forge a GIANT SWORD with golden statues on to symbolise those lost in battle defending the great Cavarnsmiths.

Also will give me some peasants to draft. Hopefully.

Δ 24. 3rd Residential floor
The lack of blocks is really holding up the construction of the Citadel. I Suspect I shall have to drop using blocks for anything but the nobles quarters soon. - Drone
Δ 24. Blue walls
Nice blue outer walls to use up the Microcline blocks that were clogging up my block storage, which were made accidently when I ran out of felsite (!!!!) Since then, my Mining in felsite rock has made running out almost impossible. - Drone

I Am thinking of what to use this large centeral area for. I was thinking of dangling a building from supports from the very top, so that in the event of a siege I can drop the building (and the nobles inside) Onto an invading army. - Drone

The severe lack of trees here has made steel making hard, due to the need for wood to make beds and bins. I really must find a Coal seam or Iron ore body soon or I'll get rolled by goblins D: - Drone
19. Trade Depot & common area

Trade depot and common area for dwarves to hang about in when jobless. also doubles as a nice military post as it connects to the only outside entrance. - Drone
