Roundedslings - 1064 Late Winter by habnabit

Map Description:

Just a test of the map compressor and map archive. That was pretty painful on an OS X machine.

Point of Interest: Blocks

( 1064 → onwards )

This is the block/sandbag stockpile. All of the smithing and glassmaking and potash making goes on in this little area and the one below it. - habnabit

The Tower of Booze is very dwarven! And I like your diagonal mining technique, I may have to "borrow" that one - looks quite hard to designate though.

It is incredibly hard to designate. I wish there was an easier way, but that provides 100% coverage with a minimal amount of dwarven effort. I've been looking for gems and gold, so.

I only used that technique there because there's not going to be anything else (most likely) at such a low level. Everything else has been fitting fairly comfortably in the space I still have left.

The aqueduct alone is an incredible contruction...

Why flooding the northern region with that aqueduct? Next to because it's dwarven to do needless things just because we're able to.

I was going to see if that improves how many trees I can get out of that area. I'm running out of trees and going through what I have left at an impressive rate.

You can download the compressed map file: 2008-10/habnabit-Roundedslings.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
