Waningink - 102 Mid Summer by Erathoniel

Map Description:

The second snapshot of Waningink. This has a lot of new stuff. Such as a couple death towers, improved traps, and nothing else. I had my focus on the death towers, one of which is defective (hence the second). I bill the second as a water tower (in a place that never freezes) or the site of Operation Controlled Flooding, as an excuse, though, in case it fails.

I'd be tempted to pave the courtyard on the surface to stop sand being walked everywhere.

The vanity decoration looks better from the air.

Reveal all kinda spoils things. Is it useful? Was it worth it?

I don't wanna pave, it takes too many resources.

I've never had problems with the current fortifications, if the dwarves would stay close to home.

Recently, thieves have all been massacred by my archers, or helpful woodcutters or whatnot. I don't remember for sure, but they all die.

Loved the memorial, specially the "one flaw" :-)

Actually, it was more a flaw in my construction planning, but I felt it was suitable.

Next update could take a while. I had a save error where I saved, and then loaded directly into a crash. Fortunately, I have backups.

You can download the compressed map file: 2008-10/erathoniel-Waningink-region6-102-15856.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
