Map Description:

State immediately before the third siege. Sadly, I accidentally lost my previous save when fiddling with versions and lost about a year.

Point of Interest: Fortress

The human traders probably wish they hadn't arrived right before a siege. The open area on the right neatly funnels the attackers through. Ones that spawn from the west end up running past all the fortifications. Once inside, they're still surrounded.

Δ 15. Industry
I have two wood furnaces constantly making charcoal, two smelters constantly melting down goblin items and refining ores, and one of my two smithies.

I have wood piles next to the wood burners that take from the main wood piles, so that idlers can be used to keep things moving smoothly. The rest are mostly bar/block piles that have disallowed blocks.

The ores are neatly sorted on the left. Tetrahedrite, casseterite, galena, and so forth. - PantheraDwarfus

Everyone gets a bed and a chest. Living quarters are as much vertical as they are wide, so as to minimize the number of steps to the farthest room. - PantheraDwarfus

I like how this turned out. I'm thinking about digging some channels to add some flowing water to the area. - PantheraDwarfus
Δ 11. Tower Cap farm B
Due to the distance to the river and the natural viscosity of water, a single entry point wasn't enough to flood the whole area. Tunnels two and three stand by to be filled with water for secondary and tertiary floodings. - PantheraDwarfus

This is my extremely fair way to control the cave river population. Go down a level for the carnage. - PantheraDwarfus
