Scorching Serene map.
Near the end of the first year of a new fortress, not very impressive progress so far. Currently searching for iron so I can set up magma smelters/forges and build my fortress proper by the flow.

Δ Alcoves for ballistas
The two little alcoves here either side of the mason are where I'm going to put two ballista emplacements, then I'm going to take out the doors in front and knock through the walls, so my operators will have a clear shot at any incoming goblin army as they stroll through the huge corridors. - furiousfish
