Our party has arrived at the site of our future home. The surface may be uninspiring, but the frontier dowsing teams which came before us assured us they detected vast wealth beneath the surface - all manner of ores, flux stone, a cave river, a chasm, adamantine, and not one but two magma pipes! Truly our new home shall be a site to behold one day. We shall soon begin the hard work of taming this earth. Our first task is to excavate shelter, farms, and to secure fresh water.
The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.
There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check
the
Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help
me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error
in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is
outside the bounds of the DataView
. Feel free to
report a problem
with a link to the problematic map or point of interest.

You can download the compressed map file:

but you will need the .NET version of
SL's DF Map Compressor
to convert to the .PNG image format.

You learn something new every day, and today's something is "Boustrophedon". :) That's some serious metalworking setup you've got there.
