Looks good... try not to build in loam, proper fortresses are built into rock ; )

I try to build into a sand/loam to place things like my stone stockpile and my farm. I then dig down into the actual stone and dig out my bedrooms and workshops.. So uhm, for future reference, you'll at least your bedrooms, dining rooms, offices, and burial chambers in stone so you can smooth and engrave them to make your Dwarves happier.

Well I tried digging deeper but met with an awful lot of damp stones which resulted in me restarting the fortress again.
Dining room turned out to be a great dining room so I have nothing to worry about
Besides it adds to the challenge of not using engrave rooms
