Its amazing! How did you create that artificial waterfall? Also the large river with the trees in it? Was that from you flooding and the water having no place to go? This fortress blows to mind.

Fort's coming along pretty well, had a close call early last year when a dragon showed up. I still had the stairway near my depot leading outside (you can see the old stairway directly above the depot) and didn't have the last tile on my greenhouse closed off. I feared my miners wouldn't get to destroying that stairway in time for the dragon to have to path through my front gate and that my fortress would soon be burning.

Luckily my lone hunter at the time got trapped outside when I told all my dwarves to stay indoors. She one shot the dragon.

Thanks Rice :)

Yeah, the trees are because of some flooding going on. The map has to rivers, one of those waterfalls is natural. The other ones are diversions I've made off the river. Just gotta keep the pressure even. Took some experimentation to figure it out.

Not a whole lot has changed. Getting ready to move my nobles up into the area north of my shops and dug out a royal area for the king who should be showing up soon. Just need to drop some offerings his way it looks like.

Wow, what amazing detail, this looks like such a well organised and decorated fortress! The room layout and engraved walls make the place shine. I lik the clearly marked stairs and ramps, and the fortified balacony type area along side the river. Everything is very well crafted.

How many idlers do you have at any given times as a ratio "for every 5 dwarves" or every ten dwarves?

Also, what's your population?
