Our good ol' Mistêmled at the arrival of the second spring.
We got our stockpiles organised, our bedrooms ready at last, and our first soldier equipped and training.
More to come soon :)

Wow this fort twists and turns all over the place. I thought it was only a few layers deep, but as I explored further I found more and more...

I've been playing the first year, and really, it's not that spread out, is it?
I had to go a few tiles away for the bedrooms so they wouldnt be bothered by noise, and then i had to go further away for the magma and the forges...
I guess i should have channeled the lava closer to the rest, maybe one of my followers will be able to deal with it, or i will in 4 years when i get the fortress back :P

I'm not saying its spread out, its just that I had trouble following my way around the corridors... make's things interesting at least : )
I've got used to building things in as close proximity as possible, not that there's anything wrong with your design, its all about personal preference... and infact you've got with a very nice open workshop and farming layout that makes a lot of sense.
