Δ 17. Operation: Smooth the World
I wanted the top level of the map be fully smoothed obsidian. This was it's progress. I am certain this is the reason for my fortress chugging along, but by this point I was bored anyway :) - juice
Δ 17. Upper Entrance
The upper entrance contained the temporary metalworking operations until I was able to find the magma (which obviously never happened). It also contains a statue garden, as well as another entrance into the bedrooms. The main entrance to this area is surrounded by cage traps. I temporarily removed a portion of the west wall to allow my engravers an easier time pathing out to the major smoothing operation. - juice
Δ 16. Dining Hall
I never quite got around to finishing the dining hall, but here it is in all it's glory. Like the bedrooms, it's made of nearly 100% obsidian which meant I didn't really have to do much else to make it legendary besides smooth the walls. Eventually I had plans to have an individual seat/table for each dwarven family, as well as golden statues, and gem windows viewing into the fortress courtyard. - juice
Δ 15. Barracks
The barracks. The 1st story is simply an entrance room. Outside are the archery ranges. The basement houses the main sparring area, as well as beds. The upper level is surrounded by fortification walls which were put to use earlier on in the fortress.

I had plans to place weapon, ammo, and armor stockpiles below the main sparring area, but I never got around to that as I couldn't find any magma =( - juice
Δ 15. Bedrooms
Bedrooms. Majority of them are carved into obsidian, giving dwarves very happy thoughts. The bedrooms span multiple z-levels and there are approximately 70-80 bedrooms each 3x3 tiles. - juice
Δ 15. Crypts
The crypts. All but 2 of the casualties in my fortress were due to goblins. The other two were from failed moods. - juice
Δ 15. Entrance Hall
This is the main entrance to my fortress. It houses the trade depot, the mayor's office, as well as a control room to raise/lower the drawbridge. - juice
Δ 15. Main Road
This is the main road that connects my fortress to the outside world. The lever for the drawbridge is located inside the main entrance area of my fortress. Some hoary marmots are skulking about just outside my fortress walls. ;) - juice
Δ 15. Sewer Control
This was to be the main control area for all sewer operations. A small stockpile of mechanisms is outside to give my mechanics an easier time hooking up floodgates to levers. - juice
Δ 14. Production
The main production area of Sunshammer. It spanned 3 z-levels. One being the farms/food, one being stone and wood, and the third being only partially used for leather/bone/mechanics. - juice
Δ Quarry
This is the start of my quarry operations. I had hoped to find magma but I gave up before I did. - juice
