A fortress entrance built inside a large water filled chamber, with massive redirected rivers. The front entrance is guarded by two towers only accessiable from underground..The rest of the fortress is designed to keep the dwarfs underground as much as possible.

Glad to see your forges use the unpassable parts as a way to block the holes to the magma! Though, you really should put bars over top of the holes until you're ready to put a forge there.

My next fortress aims to be two pyramids stuck on each other, and partly submerged, with everything built within the period. Anything like lava will have to be channel from outside into the pyramid through tunnels, and hopefully it'll encourage some focused building design, and I get the feeling this fortress is far more spread out then necessay.
