This past year has seen big improvements in the water system, with the biggest improvements being the new floodgates that separate the oh-so-useless brook from the new rivlet carved through the valley. There have been a few flooding problems, and container walls are being put up to direct water to the right place. I may yet still need to remove the brook from the center of the valley to prevent water seeping away.
A few deaths, two tradgedies from a fey and possesed dwarf. A new legendary turtle bone door, and a legendary cabinet with an engraving of said door to match. Many babies though have pushed the fortress up to the dizzying heights of 51, meaning the election of Shieldgear's first mayor, and subsequent demands for steel items (hahahah), requiring a beating of the metalsmith. Since there is not fort, no jail, and none of that civilised stuff, the beating has gone untreated for the time being. One day however the dwarves will make their move underground.

What character set/title set and color theme you using?

Hey AcidWeb, I'm using a mix between my own tileset and Sphr's graphics - you can download it from the list of user graphic sets page on the wiki.

I love the Big Square Quarry. Proper dwarf. :)

Beautiful lake you have going there.
Infact, beautiful all around.
It looks very peaceful, too. No rotting goblin corpses, no menacing walls or traps.

Wow. What a very nice planned out fortress you have got there. I think I might favorite it.

I rather enjoy this fortress. Waiting to see the dome completed too!

...I had never thought of making a dome.
I may have to try that, someday.

Amazing, this is by far my favorite fort so far. Great engineering feats as well as beauty.

I love this kind of fortress; with "this kind" I intend those fortress who look like they're from a plausible fantasy world: every building seems like it's carefully projected in all its details and shape.
I love this map, and I hope to see updates in the future!
p.s. wouldn't it be nice to make somekind of repository for "believable and detailed fortresses"
