Leaderorbs - 1053 Mid Spring by Hellzon

Map Description:

Leaderorbs, a fort in a peaceful canyon with a brook along the bottom. Or so they thought.

Founded in 1050, the fort has been through a few years of mining, moat-building and defiling of the wilderness outside. Recently, goblins appeared...

(There is a glitch on the bottom floor. However, there is only little excavation in there, nothing interesting.)

Δ 18. Bridge to somewhere
The caravans keep spawning on the southeast corner, up in the southern mountains. The answer is obviously to build a bridge across the valley to allow the wagons to cross it. Lack of masons have delayed the project, though.

(I got a brain fart and thought building walls was "everyone does it" just like removing buildings.) - Hellzon

When the Leaderorbs unarmoured wrestling squad have wrestled a troop of trained goblin killers to death, what to they do to wind down?

Wrestle a named black bear to death, of course!

(The bear got its name from mauling a war dog, and then the leader of the wrestling squad killed it singlehandedly.) - Hellzon
Δ 16. Apartment floor

Living quarters. Barracks to the right, archery range under the pointer, and apartments to the left. Nobles get rooms north of the corridor, with three floors if they request it.

(Only the Sheriff has a three-floor apartment so far.) - Hellzon
Δ 15. Aftermath of the ambush
We had some ambushers. One speargoblin and four marksgoblins popped up and killed lots of pets, all but one of the elven traders, and two or three dwarves. Then they got beaten down by the Leaderorbs Ninja Squad.

(Our army so far consists of seven unarmoured wrestlers and a conscripted hunter/marksdwarf. This will be rectified as soon as possible.) - Hellzon
Δ 15. Temporary fort

The temporary cave, where the original settlers lived while carving out the main fort to the north. Food storage and farms one and two levels up, respectively. - Hellzon
Δ 14. Moat/Farms
The moat may become obsolete as the trading depot is moved to the "bridge to somewhere", but so far, it serves. The channel northwards is for drinking and fishing.

The caverns to the south are the farms, with a hole being dug and walled for "outside" farms to the west. The storeroom to the northeast is a dedicated seed storage.

(For anyone who checks forts to learn from them, I'd suggest wider feed channels. These 1-tile wide channels took over a season to fill the moat and watering hole.) - Hellzon
