Will you be going for the fairy tale pointy 'green glass' tower effect? If so, you need to capture yourself a human merchant princess to complete the story...

Nah, Just a square top, maybe an open air zoo. I'd bput something better, but I'm not very creative.
I'll have other towers branching off the main one, though. I have BIG plans for the farming tower, not so much for the rest of the towers.

What's that... 5 layers now? I think its funny you've built the cabinets and chests before the beds or the walls :) ... looking good!

The reason the wagons can't access the trade depot is the fact that there is no 3 space wide area for them to travel into the depot. The depot access screen has the access spread from the depot. If a wagon cant get out of the depot then you will see no access everywhere.
Try removing the doors then wagons will be able to access the depot. Or just remove a few walls.

Oh, wow, you're right. I always expected it to just say my depot was inaccessible if the wagons couldn't get to it, instead of putting the red No wagon Access symbol everywhere.
Well, that's useful.

Well, All the grass has grown back after being burned.. I'm not sure if I like that.
At least the fire trimmed the Hippo population...

You know, its kinda creepy how the housing blocks hang so far out from the front of the tower...

You know what would have been cooler? If you'd built the tower ontop of the magma pool, with like giant supporting legs sprouting out from each side to form an arch over the pool... ... nah, maybe not :)

That would have been cool. Oh well.
I might just flood the world with magma instead.

Now we need to figure out what he is planning on doing with the "secret project".
My guess is he is planning on pouring water over a corner of the magma, channeling down and repeating until he is past the aquifer. He is planning on having some metalworking so he's going to need metal. And by only doing a corner of it it won't shut down the glass furnaces.

THLawrence, that sounds like a genius plan for besting the aquifer.

Dangit, That's what I'm going to do. >:|
The glass furnaces are already seperated from the main shaft, because I tried (and failed) to use magma to bypass the aquifer before. I didn't want to risk the magma falling too low for the furnaces, So I blocked it with obsidian and pumped magma into the channels until it was 7/7. Then I pumped a little more and started a large fire that consumed the northern side of the river.
Strangely enough, Fire doesn't travel up dry grass ramps.
