Well, this is my first fortress, I just dig dug dig dug and built a lot of stuff and here I am, no magical design schemes and it still works like a charm.

Not bad for a first, but i don't think you should build commoner's rooms bigger than 2x2 or 3x3. When the economy activates (80+ dwarfs), they will be unable to afford them anymore and end up sleeping in your barrack.

Yeah, a big waste of magnetite that was, after I realised I could've make weapons for that goblin siege that killed everybody...
