This is the location that I reported crashed on embark in this thread, but was fixed with 33b. As you can see, there's a magma vent, a brook, lots of sand, a ton of flux... I just haven't found iron yet. Largely because of the Bronze Colossus attack. He pretty much wiped the fortress, but I just got an immigration wave, so we'll see if I can recover... I might need to wall off the colossus first, however.

That's an insane tileset, me likes sorta. The smokiness is creepy though.

The tileset is a work in progress right now. Some of it is done by myself, but quite a few tiles are ripped from tilesets available on the wiki (specifically, Guybrush, Savok, and Zaratustra); I just resized some to fit in the 10x12 space that the default curses font uses and did some touch ups. I think the only ones visible in this map that are entirely my own, aside from shading, are the barrels (which I might edit, they kinda blur together right now), the willow trees, and the "chasm" tiles in the kennel.
