Map Description:

This time it's the superdwarvenly tough legendary miner who also happens to be expedition leader gone fey. He wants rough gems - sorry, no can do.

You built your fort digging a small hole in the ground, and building a hut on top? That's so understated for a fort!

I plan to add fortifications and trapped approaches above ground, and a farming compound on the grassy area to the SW for above-ground plants. Also couple of offices for my broker and manager dwarfs so that the trade liaison doesn't get stuck in my fort (I hope).

Actually, you don't need steel to make magma items anymore. Rock works just as well!

Yay for rocks! Are those offices on the surface of the map? It all looks neat and tidy so far. Digging straight down is the way to go!

Rocks for magma workshops? Cool.

Yes, those are offices. I had hoped to have my mgr hold his meeting with the liaison on the surface so the outpost liaison wouldn't get stuck. The #@(&^ outpost liaison still went downstairs to meet the manager and then conducted the meeting by telepathy!

Stylish placement of the magma forge, you dug out a whole room under the workshops and removed the floor, toasty.

If I keep to the kochtree fractal, some bedrooms will have nice warm floors. :)

I think I'd have walled up the magma tunnel where you've dug out ore before flooding it, just to save magma... I'd be worried about it all flowing away!
