Rhymedmansion - 263 Early Spring by mounf

Map Description:

After a slight delay, the end of year 9 of rhymedmansion, the remains of the first serious goblin siege is scattered about the entrance ways. Work projects for the coming year include:

* a new power plant and pump stack to take magma to the first cavern layer for the new magma glass forge (we really are going to need a LOT of windows for the future plans).
* a garbage disposal system to dump bodies and kitchen waste into the magma see.
* removal of the old fort compound above ground.
* flooding of the old abandoned sections of the old fortress.
* Planning for the new grand dining hall, cavern geo-engineering and additional buildings.

Point of Interest: 1st Cavern Layer

263 - The fort is mostly contained in and around the first cavern layer. Around the walled of section of cavern are the crafthalls for the masons, leatherworkers, woodworkers, the food hall, clothiers hall and stairs to the dining hall and living quarters and old fort (soon to be removed). - mounf

Bought some anvils did you? Are you using wooden trap components? What weapons are those?

A single iron anvil (I always take this if available, I like to have some basic armor forged by the end of year 1). The cage traps are wooden, weapon traps have 2 (low quality) spiked iron balls or menacing spikes apiece.

Can invaders dig now? I know that it was in development, but I haven't seen them do this, yet.

There's dfhack plugin, "digging invaders". But without it invaders can't dig yet.

I think "channeling attackers" is causing some confusion.. By this I mean forcing them to attack an easily defensible position. Not attackers digging their way into my fort!

I'm looking forward to when attackers do the latter though. It'll need much more flexible defensive design.

Has dfhack been updated to version 0.4x yet?

No. If I remember right, Stonesence developer said that he will release it when Toady will stop making new DF releases every couple of days.
