The end of year 2 in parchedwheel. The main ramp is now completed and gradually heading deeper. Military is training hard, but apart from a werelizard which climbed the fortress walls there has been nothing to test them against.
Metal and stone industry are now well established and steel weapons are being forged (though bronze armour is still the order of the day).
The search now begins for magma.

The not so great hall. It'll do until something better can be planned, though it is starting to get crowded when dwarfs are idle.
