19 waterwheels on the brook make for a lovely 1900 power. I, unfortunately, don't have an aquifer to exploit on this map, but I'm sure I'll figure out dwarven water reactors if I ever need more power than I have. - Lielac
48. The Wagon

Though none of the original seven dwarves remain (Aban, the woodcutter, went berserk after a failed mood in 207 and had to be put down; Erith and Sarvesh, the stonecrafter/bonecarver and farmer respectively, died in minecart accidents in 212 and 215; Shem and Endok and Melbil and... the last guy?? died in the Great Tantrum Spiral and Armokian Wrath of 240-241), and Laborfords was alive for 40 years, I never got around to deconstructing the wagon. At this rate, I might as well enshrine it. (As of Spring 215, I have.) - Lielac

This is the Happy Fun Death Pit's prime attraction; the heart-stopping, bone-crunching fall starts here! A visitor steps on one of the pressure plates, moves onto one of the bridges, and promptly falls 10 z-levels onto the cobaltite floor of the HFDP. Fun for the whole family! - Lielac
47. Menacing spike madness

These are/will be attached to the pressure plate just to the south, which is set to trigger on a depth of 3 water and only 3 water. Suffice to say that once I finish this it should be a gloriously bloody repeater. - Lielac

A must-have for any of my forts. It contains corpses, occasionally weeping goblins/elves/humans, and will eventually get regular magma baths. The bridge to the right (if visible) is made of pitchblende. - Lielac

Say hello to Efaci, she's working for us now! ... Sort of. It works for my purposes, anyway. FB silk might be only worth as much as cave spider silk, but it's a hell of a lot faster to manufacture. - Lielac
34. The Waiting Room

This is the only entrance into the first cavern on the map, so any creatures that enter it have to go here. It's got cage traps for any non-TRAPAVOID creatures, and a drawbridge to hold in any uninvited guests while I get things ready for them. The table next to the support is an artifact, for the purposes of attracting said uninvited guests. - Lielac

The good thing about non-grazers is that I don't need to store them on grass.
After I dug out some magnetite, I decided (in 213) to use this area for testing minecart tracks as well. - Lielac

Where the dwarves eat. Nothing special, really. Okay, there are levers. And the things that look like nest boxes with green eggs are a modded-in "workshop" called a display case that I use to show off otherwise useless artifacts. - Lielac

I especially like the bedroom layer and the death trap.
