Omenboulder - 275 Early Spring by Coaldiamond

Map Description:

The 20 year anniversary of Omenboulder! This is the longest fort I have ever maintained. I am doing my best to try out all the things that I never played with before, like minecarts, a fleshed out military, and other odd stuff.

The tileset is my adaptation of Plac1d's 8x12 graphics. Shown here is my 12x12 updated set (8x12 is also complete) with graphics for every critter in vanilla DF2012.

Point of Interest: A dwarven playground

( 258 → onwards )

A little mock fort serves as a playground for idle dwarven children (and lazy peasants!) down deep in the center of Omenboulder. Statues of the patron deity Lisid and the Duchess Sibrek hide inside the fort, while statues of kobolds and elves are scattered outside of its walls.
It may feel safe, but Giant Sparrows and flying Mosquito Men have been known to spread havok in this open air plaza. - Coaldiamond

Bottomless pit?

Ha, good to hear from you again.

It's not a natural pit, but one I dug out. The borders are defined by the terrain though. There is going to be a little plaza at the bottom eventually.

You can download the compressed map file: 2014-02/coaldiamond-Omenboulder-region4-275-3340.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
