Shedimolon, "Shadowgears" - 152 Early Summer by Jato

Map Description:

I haven't found so many maps with suitable dwarven homes up here. Long contorting tunnels and high halls.
So here is Shedimolon! It is located on a tropical animating terryfying Volcano with some Parts of untamed wilds in the west.

For the first 25 year only 45 dwarfes and a few kids dug out a nice home. Since Shedimolons tunnels are long about 50 more dwarves were invited after 25 years from the mountain homes.

Duchess is Udib Shorastnog. She had a hard time when she was chosen as baroness without proper rooms at the age of about 20. Her Husband died soon after Fighting an undead lama. She is a legendary engraver and good medic.

Champion is Monom Workedbury the Eye - Ford of Chaos Hammer Lord and legendary engraver. He killed more than 180 foes - half of them notable including 3 forgotten beasts 2 minotaurs and numerous zombie elephants.

Just two of the seven founders have survived. The zombies and goblins made life really dangerous espaciallly for the kids.

In the last two years - the time Shedimolons population exceeded 80 we had three sieges with many jabberes and other monstrosities from the depth as mounts.

Δ 167. Central waterworks
Here is a fresh water source for the whole mountain unde construction. - Jato
Δ 167. Sideview
See the great halls lantern and fountain the throne room with its small spiral ramp and the long connecting tunnels. - Jato
Δ 147. Spiral Ramp
Here you can see the sprial ramp reaching from the mountain top down to the molten roots of earth. Its central shaft and column are not yet finished but caravans can leave the map even deep in the caverns.
You can also see that I cut out some of the most boring part of the map below the first cavern (room for future digging but empty now). - Jato
Δ 138. Great Hall north wall
The Goldsmiths of Shedimolon made a monumental image of a dwarf nine level tall in the north wall of the great hall. I do not yet know who it is. If you take a closer look you can see that even inside and around the huge gold dwarf Shedimolons engravers recorded the history of the world in countless images about 80 times smaller. - Jato
Δ 182. Mountaintop
The dwarves of Shedimolon secured the top of the mountain to do some Farming. Grizzly bears are bred for meat and to tear the thieves and zombies. All the Animals and corpse piles are on the less evil part of the volcano. I also got two giant lions and giant ravens but unfortunatly no breeding pair yet. - Jato
Δ 177. Lotheye Mathepelese Fafirecethaarani One, Master
This Pongolin Brute Demon is the Master of The Curse of Crucifying a goblin civilisation. He led the third Siege against Shedimolon and I managed to cut him from his troops when he entered the crypt to destroy some coffins. Once the sieges was defeated I created this little glass pyramid as eternal prison for him. It wasn't easy to lure him away from the graves. Seems like he got stuck destroying a masterworg gabbro coffin. But The Champion Monom managed to get his attention by shattering his skull. The he ran off blocking the flames Lotheye was breathing with his shield so all the scattered dwarf corpses from the destroyed tombs didn't get burned. Once Monom entered the Pyramid another dwarf pulled a lever. Monom rushed out Lotheye ran after him but the obsidian bridges rose and closed the prison. - Jato
Δ 169. Mid Gate
This is the partially finished Mid Gate carved int the sinde of the volcano. - Jato
Δ 163. Trade Depot and Main Storage
Here are all the troll fur socks of the dead goblins, masterful taylored dresses of the clothiers from Shedimolon, bags for the millers and glass makers, furniture and so on. All close to the trade depot. It can be reached by wagon from every gate of the fort as well as some caverns and most of the larger halls. - Jato

A throne room with artifact throne but not much furniture yet. - Jato
Δ 142. Dining Hall
This is the Dining hall of Shedimolon. It is nice and high and completly engraved with the history of the world. It has a waterfall above the north entrance. Two tunnels lead up and down to the east. And a third south to the lower gate. In the south are also some of the duchesses quarters. And in the north are some memorials and workshops as well as a food store one level below. - Jato

This is a great hall with no special use yet It has three magma lanterns made from crystal glass and gems and two nice fountains (turned off right now for fps reasons). It is completly engraved except for the floor which will follow. - Jato
