Just before my demise to a skinless fire breathing monstrosity. This followed on the heels of an attack by his cousin who was laying butchered on our doorstep courtesy of the merchants who died courageously for our cause.
My liaison died in the earlier attack and we've been surviving solely on trade. Im going to come in with a salvaging force and share the spoils with any who survive. Should be good.

Actually he was just a random immigrant farmer. He was however the very first dwarf to die on this map. He went crazy and starved himself to death at our doorstep as a warning to others. - Unbeltedsundew
