First real attempt at 0.34.15, a first since 0.28.181.40d. It seems that there is some trouble with producing enough food for the huge groups of immigrants arriving. Have to set up some hen nests and produce even more food. Also have to invest some resources in building a protected entrance... And the military have to be set up of course. I do not want some early "fun".

A fresh start eh? You'll need to keep those fields seeded and after 100 pop expand them like four times. I suggest you would start up as a agricultural society building up food stores and seed banks and military. Although traps would do a lot for the defence. It's kinda hard to defend with arms.

Oh and remember to make new clothes for your dwarves when they're X'ing out. Maggoty clothes might cause a tantrum spiral. They will automatically abandon their worn out clothes and steal new ones from finished goods.

Once you have full plates you could make a danger room.

I assume you meant "0.34.11", since there is no version "0.34.15"...

I actually haven't farmed since 2D, usually I just fish+gather, then cook the stuff. Supplement with trading. This map seems to be lacking water though, so I don't know how well that'd work for you.
