Δ Farming & Waterfall park
This small farming area, naturally flooded through fortifications, feeds the fortress of 100 dwarves with 12 farmers. It backs directly onto food storage, and kitchens, and the dining room; barrel storage and the boozepile are in the halway directly below, minimizing travel and maximizing access to booze. (Brewing is continuous.) It works very well. A little more food storage wouldn't go amiss, though.

The butcher is behind miasma-doors on the left, with tame groundhogs chained nearby. The statue garden by the waterfall mist is mighty pleasing; the bridge (w/elf diplomat) has safety rails. - Jellyfishgreen
Δ Front gate and trollmonkeys
Siege of trolls and macaques?!
The cows chained outside proved good arrow soakage. The ballista aimed straight down the road was reasonably effective. I located the gate this far south to take advantage of the natural defense of the river - luckily the ice had thinned. - Jellyfishgreen
Δ Lava cannon and vanity project
we (heart) dwarf fortress. I was going to fill the letters with magma, but with the inconvenient location of the river I've switched to a make-work project with green glass blocks. - Jellyfishgreen
Δ Steel foundry
Steel, glorious steel! Dedicated stockpiles for hematite, coal, and limestone allowed my smelters to turn out steel on 4-step repeat. Luckily the miners found plenty of ore.
Also of note - locked treasury, forgeside booze dump, stone-clearing catapult, moody metalsmith, decoy horses for those pesky fire imps, glassworks. - Jellyfishgreen
Δ Third bedroom complex
This was a fairly pleasing fractal bedroom layout for 3-space rooms. The lever in the centre controls the magma cannon. - Jellyfishgreen
