Finally got back to playing DF again, and the most recent version, so far as this update is concerned. I gotta say, I'm liking my new place, and how I have been going about it lately. It's still got a ways to go, but as I have been plotting it, so far, it works to my liking, and it easier to maintain than previous other forts. And in case you're wondering, I have a system I am trying out as I develop. Consider it an unlocking of other lands as I feel more secure, or as I secure my land and then some. Plus, I'm going to need to extract the woodlands elsewhere, now that I have depleted my home peninsula of them right now.
( 114 Mid Winter → onwards )
A poi that doesn't really need any introduction anyway. We were lucky to start off here.
All friendly civs can access the fort from here. No hostiles aside from a were creature have visited. I'm securing lodgings and etc. before bridging to other lands, and fortunately, this land is split a fair amount of times, so I can be selective. I intend to have a central hub installed when I have a well-set fort made, and a fortress that spans across the rivers when we're thriving and bustling with activity. I also want to claim the nearby waterfall as a power source in due time. - Itnetlolor
