Δ 128. Fortress in the Clay
This level, just under the surface, is where the fort was initially dug. Because there's an aquifer not far below, no deeper progress was made for a long while, and because there are no goblins or kobolds in this area the planned defences were abandoned after a few seasons. South are a long row of still-occupied dwellings filled with wooden furniture; they're slowly being demolished.
Since the discovery of the lower caverns, the place has been overrun with fungus and mushroom trees. - Ambivalence
Δ 127. Aquifer Breach
This is where the aquifer was contained, and is the only route to the lower fortress. The Depot is inaccessible to wagons, but it's no big deal, though once things have settled down I'd like to create a ramp leading down to the caverns below. In case of accidents there's an overflow pipe at the bottom of the stairs, though it'd probably fill large areas with water anyway. - Ambivalence
Δ 85. Workshops
I'm pleased with this arrangement of workshops. Everything for the discerning dwarf. Sadly, one kitchen and one still aren't enough to feed this population, so there are a couple more outside.
I'm hoping to work out the maths for a neat circle of bedrooms - if I can get a circle of workshops surrounded by a circle of stores / dining room / prison surrounded by a circle of housing it'd be cool. Very Atlantean. - Ambivalence
