My first 'megaproject'. Essentially I wanted to recreate the dungeon of Quasqueton from D&D module B1 - Into the Unknown.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Search_of_the_Unknown
I used the following method to translate the map into D&D terms:
For 10' section do 3x3 excavations separated by single rows and knock out as needed like so:
xxxxxxxxx
x...x...x..
x...x...x..
x...x...x..
xxxxxxxxx
x...x...x..
Normal doors are wooden. Secret doors are made from the same rock or metal as the wall they are set into.
The Big Plan was to create the dungeon just as it is in the module, abandoned and all, and have my dwarfs living in a second unconnected fortress deeper underground. I'm not quite there yet. While the dungeon is mostly done (carved out but lots of little details remain) it is still inhabited by the dwarfs.

You can download the compressed map file:

but you will need the .NET version of
SL's DF Map Compressor
to convert to the .PNG image format.
