Tundrapost - 204 Early Autumn by Serio

Δ 67. Courtyard
Before even embarking here, I planned to establish the fortress exactly where the wagon would stop. Unfortunately, it stopped on a steep hill. Instead, I established the fortress at the foot of the mountain. For those not familiar with it, the grey stuff is sand. No idea why it's being dragged around by the dwarves. - Serio
Δ 67. The Bridge

This one was a little difficult, as I've never embarked so close to a volcano before. Initially, it was three bridges across. Naturally, the centre one collapsed into the magma below when the other two were raised. Instead, I dug under the bridges and created a walkway(the pillar is visible on the level below).

The south bridge raises, blocking enemy projectiles. The north bridge is drawn back to allow marksdwarves to fire on anyone dodging the (future) traps. - Serio
Δ 64. The Forge
The primary reason I embarked here was for the magma. Each furnace, kiln, and forge is powered by the magma in the reservoir underneath. In the centre of the room is an orthoclase lever, created from stone mined in the construction of the reservoir, that opens the floodgates below. - Serio
