Interesting Side-Effect of Graphics Being Weird

I have cyclopses (or whatever the actual plural of them is (;P), people with unibrows but no eyes, and swordsdwarves who decided to look like carpenters. This could be due to a staggering 1.53 or so unique tiles... >_>

A Shocking Realization

....Hey, the smelter has the same layout and floor plan as the wood furnace! On a less random note, I built these because the three idle metalsmiths were becoming a bit of an annoyance. Almost fitting they should be contained in rooms with ore still in them.

Legendary Living Complex

Legendary being the people living in it, not the rooms themselves. The one on the left is my second miner, who somehow obtained Legendary status before the first one. The one on the right is my... I think it's second Jeweler, not positive there. Anyway, he's walking around with a red spinel floodgate, detailed in turquoise and red spinel. I won't bore you further with the details. Eventually, the rooms might be self-contained except for food/drink stocks.

"Business Front"

Another plot to keep the masons busy, I decided the fort needs at least a facade of impressiveness. Never mind that the front of the fort easily beats the "business end" by a reasonable margin, especially if we leave the dining room out of that equation. The roads being detailed is mainly just experience filler so I get masterpieces when I engrave the dining room again... show THEM to rate it only no title!!! Also, having the refuse stockpile for crafts overflow was a frightening and new experience for me. I actually had to build a second craftdwarf's workshop...

Spam Cloth!

So I made one of my farm plots contain Pig Tails for 2 seasons last year, and that yielded some pretty interesting results. Long story short, they're STILL making them into cloth. It's actually managed to get up into the yellow "CLT" level with the cloth alone. Yes, that could be partly because of the lack of decent stockpiles (the aforementioned cloth one was made about two gameplay minutes before I took this picture), but it sounds SOOO COOOOL to say "I has so much cloth it makes the farmer's workshop go into a clutter level above gray!", amirite?

Watch Your Step

So I was digging a really long shaft for a cloth stockpile (more on that in a later point of interest) and accidentally stumbled upon the chasm. Extrapolated from the current part I can see of it, it would've taken quite a bit longer to hit through the main route. The cloth stockpile, for those of you who care, is located north a bit.
