Fortress: Matchedlanced | Mcshay
I've decided to go with many small open dining halls instead of a more traditional massive dining hall. Submitted by: Mcshay - 2018-05-24 |

This physics defying iron and stone construction will position magma directly over the outline of the obsidian skirt. It will take a while to complete... Submitted by: Mcshay - 2009-04-18 |

Floor 2 holds all of my workshops, farms and a large storage expansion. The iron and glass workshops are to the north next to my sand pit. Submitted by: Mcshay - 2009-04-18 |

Urist McDwarf cancels haul bones: AHHH WATER!
The three bodies on this level and the one on the aquifer guard above were the four who drowned while waiting for the wall segment to be removed. The noble to the top left is the book keeper who held his breath long enough to get out alive. Submitted by: Mcshay - 2008-11-23 |

It turns out that freezing and thawing tends to destroy ceiling hatches, as seen here and in the above level. I'll have to drain this out and devise a new water intake that doesn't rely on a hatch. Submitted by: Mcshay - 2008-11-23 |

The plans for this floor are vague, but it will probably house more nobles and the final floor of the dining room. Submitted by: Mcshay - 2008-11-23 |

Fortress: Somberrag | Mcshay
This raised tunnel will eventually be submerged once flooding is complete. It's outfitted with two floodgates (raised) and a ceiling hatch that will be used to control the intake and removal of water from the indoor waterfall system. There will be no direct way to enter the fortress through here unless the invader can either destroy walls, or flow through pumps and iron bars (up the waterfall). Submitted by: Mcshay - 2008-11-22 |

I'm not sure why, but I get this kind of thing a lot when constructions and digging meet ice. Only the floor potion of that tile is left. I usually fix it by digging the tile out next winter. Submitted by: Mcshay - 2008-11-22 |
