You have struck magnetite!

Yeah, this is a different cluster from the one a little bit to the left. And there's one more on the level above. I'll have plenty of metalworking resources, magma or no.

You gotta admit it's a nice view.

Here I have my noble housing, each noble has a bedroom and a combined dining room/office, each with a gem window looking out over the bottomless depths of the chasm. Each room has only one type of gem used in the windows. The green windowed room is for the Captain of the Guard, with his bedroom upstairs. And the purple and red rooms are owned by the Dungeon Master, the digging path will be the dramatic, although short, route to his animal training area.

Yo Dawg I Herd You Like Hatch Covers. . .

Seriously, what's up with the hatch covers here? Did we have some massive hatch cover shortage? Were the hatches not decent?

Yngwie Mirrorcastle's Tomb

The final resting place of Yngwie Mirrorcastle also contains the bodies of the two pet donkies that died with her and an artefact toy boat encoded with the designs for a revolutionary thinking engine.

Ying-Yang

One of the first things someone suggested I do with my fort. A crudely mined ying-yang of lava and water. Don't think I did too bad a job with it. The main road to the fort goes down and in between them. Debated putting glass along the walls so visitors could see them as they passed, but I think I'll settle for statues of my original 7 dwarves. (two of which died in the creation of the magma forge, btw. Idiots.)

Fortress: Kolegul 1066 Mzbundifund

Yin-Yang monument

Constructed entirely out of one-tile light and dark stone bridges. The white and black circles are one-tile bridges suspended just before completion. It was my hope that these suspended bridges wouldn't block river access, so the dwarves could still use the river tile under them for buckets of water and gathering sand, but no such luck. Even though this monument is more than 7x7, it doesn't need supports because river tiles don't count as excavated tiles when calculating cave-ins.

Fortress: Frozenhalls Retro

Yeti farm

Two males, a female, and a baby. I'm hoping to populate the fort with these guys and kill all but a handful of dwarves.

Yet-to-be-breached Cavern Entrance

I'll open these walls when I'm nice and ready.

Fortress: Pinemaze Zerris

Yet more storage

Yet more storage to clean up the mess in the Salvage Industry workshops. They get so cluttered fast.

Fortress: Razordike Jervill

Yet More Housing

A ton of immigration and Dwarves that bred like rabbits.

The oddly shaped corridor to the southwest is the result of re purposing an exhausted copper vein.

Yet Another Trapped FB

I'm not entirely certain this one can leave the water since there are pathways up into the first cavern that it can take. It remains down here wandering around.
