Corpse Vault

To keep mangled bodies away from sensitive eyes, I've shunted the remaining corpses from the surface to this room. Also expandable.

Expanded Tombs

A fairly open and expandable design, these tombs will probably fill up before the year is over.

These Rooms Are Full of Death

This is where ten or so dwarves died of dehydration, since no one believed they weren't wereskinks. Or at least, that's the official story.

You can't see the bodies, but for every bed there's a desiccated corpse.

Great Hall

Yes, that depot is accessible. This is where the new migrants have set up temporary workshops and food storage, as well as some crude tables and chairs.

Dead were-skink?

Huh. I thought this guy was alive when I saved. What on earth could have killed him?

He was safely walled in.

Wooden Stockade

Keeps the nasty outside, and the beer inside. . . it also separates the old population from all those new migrants.

Farms and Woodwork

Also mostly potential.

Litast Boatsspiral plants plump helmets while As Bridgerope digs out a workspace.

Workshops

They're mostly potential workshops. See what I mean by the pod design?

Bedrooms

That's the hardworking mason, Rovod Minedpaddle making use of one.

The big room will be a dining room, once Rovod gets the tables and chairs made.

The Center of it All

At least for now. It kind of looks like an alien. I didn't plan for it to look like an alien, but I'll take it.

That's the Zefod Fondledchanneled, the manager, hauling a bag to a stockpile.

I feel like I'm going for a "pod" layout this time.

The Trade Depot

I really should build a wall around it or something. It seems so exposed.

You can't see him, but craftydorf Zaneg Rakegear is hauling some wood in to make a chest. Meanwhile, Aban Daggerchants is striding purposefully across the woodpile so he can fish.

Not the Trade Depot

I thought this would've made a fine trade depot room, then I found out that it was "too close to the edge of the map.

Still, Kol Roughrawness has to dig it out. The way the room is made is important to later plans.

Yeah, the bodies. We're trying to deal with that. It's difficult when there are so few of us and so many of them, but we're getting there.

What happened? Nobody is quite sure, something hit us after the were-elf *flicks tongue* It was violent, a scaly thing with a long blue tail. We killed it, but with many injured, and then...blood. The few of us who were healthy tried so hard to take care of the rest, but it never worked. Some of them even shrunk away from us when we tried to give them water. And then...they were gone, bodies strewn everywhere. *flicks tongue* I don't even remember...last one was poor Urvad. He'd gone running around, grabbing arms and armor, said he had to go train. Then...he was gone, his head smashed in with a copper pick. Imush must've done it. Called himself the Elevated Cut-Ram of Lancing, but strangely he keeps insisting that he couldn't have done it. This whole thing is so bizarre... *flicks tongue*

Sure you want to visit here? I mean, we could use the help...

*flicks tongue*
