Fortress: Bannerheat Salmeuk

Mechanics

Tucked into this small microcline room is a cluttered mechanic's workshop.

Temple to Erib the Amethyst Gold of Aquamarine

She must be a god, for only the divine would assume a strange, subject-less sequence of colors as a title.

She is an immensely popular god in my fortress.

Carpentry

Wood stored in case of a siege.

New Entrance

I hurriedly constructed this set of iron bridges after the magma . . .interrupted . . . the original route.

Moose Pit

I plan to install observation windows later, for the scientific study of moose behavior.

Minor Troubles

I was HOPING to install a floodgate next to this engraved cluster of Zircon (the image engraved is the symbol of our civilization, a goblin-cap) but I accidentally designated the other side of this magma chute. Luckily I had installed both sets of bridges.

I lost nearly all my trade goods and practice bolts (about a years worth, actually) and all the previously created blocks of stone. Not too worried in all truth.

Wheelhouse

Where access was dug for the sewer, and a now-needless waterwheel spins at the bottom. A lever controls waterflow from the stream into the sewer.

Dense Forest

I cannot possibly run out of wood with this sort of forest growing over a quarter of the map.

Marble Works

Having discovered a large chunk of marble, I set up a small masonry.

You can see the cistern in the lower right, not full quite yet.

Dead Engineer

He just had to step past the final tile of sewer, at the same exact time that the miner happened to be mining it out. The water forced him over the edge and his leg bones shattered at the force of the fall. His boulder (his precious fucking boulder, which he was apparently destined to haul to some stockpile or another) crushed his foot. The water was too quick and now he's submerged underneath the slowly-filling cylinder of water, asphyxiated and cold and quite dead..

Sewer Access

Allows for more water to flood inside, perhaps to refresh the cistern or wash away baddies.

Gem Stockpile

Proximity to the mines keeps hauling to a minimum.
