Tavern

It's called The Taciturn Tummy. It could use a few dozen more tables and thrones to look proper, but it's tavern with *depth*. Two z levels of it.

D - Stockpiles

Anything is possible when you have big enough stockpiles.

Don't ask me what is up with the massive manufacture of mechanisms. I didn't make them. But dammit, I put them in their place!

C - Metalworks

It's for making all of that metal stuff your dwarves crave. Don't blink, or you'll miss the manufacturing of entire suits of armor made of bronze, the conversion of elven trees to dwarven might.

B - Workshops

What do you see? You see workshops, producing all of the manufactured goods your fort can handle. Now what's that in the center? It's charcoal. What's it for?

A The Great Hall

Look at how this looked last year. Now look at this year. now look at last year. Now look at this year. Happily, it's a lot cleaner this year. Now look down...

8 - Manager's Office

Once again occupied, though not by the manager. That'a Dodok Mountaindreamy, who far as I can tell isn't even related to the manager. Interloper!

6 - Entrance Pillbox

Now if only I had some marksdwarves to stick into it, so they could stick bolts into things.

5 - More walls down

Another skink had got himself stuck in that quarry, then died under mysterious circumstances. Might need to do a memorial just to see the results. A child had died nearby, not sure whether something killed both or it was some kind of inadvertent joint suicide.

Anyway, the skink was dead, so the walls had to go. For a while, there was a jeweler's shop here, but it was removed. The bins, I think, are confusing my new organizational system because they contain both rough and cut stones.

4 - Bedrooms

Haven't done a thing with these, but I suspect we may need more of them soon.

3 - Graves and the Hospital

Most of those coffins are occupied, though not all. Another wall that had to go was sealing a bunch of bodies in the old hospital. For one thing, rotten corpses stink, and its an offense to the dead. On the other, a functional hospital is a boon.

2 - The Old Fort

It hasn't changed much. One may notice that the wall that once kept the two sections separate has been torn down.

The reason it was torn down was because goblins had breached the fort and all of the military was trapped on this side. This situation was unacceptable, so I took a chance and tore that wall down.

The goblins either fled or were soon dead, thanks to the three Tin Counselors and their bronze blades.

1 - The Skink is stuck

This is Obok Rimslaps. He is the only remaining wereskink.

This is his room. I may at some point wish for access to this space, but there's no rush. He can hiss and scratch to his little heart's content, for all we care.
