Fortress: Syrupdeaths | apparentbliss
I think I have four or five casualties now; one fresh recruit that ran out alone to face a full complement of goblins, and the rest civilians caught unawares while picking up wood. Once I get towercaps up and running, there will be far fewer deaths. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2009-08-01 |

Being on a map of sand such as this, the magmaworks seem better labeled as the glassworks -- certainly, that is what they will produce the most of. I have plans to construct something large-ish above ground with glass blocks, once the fort is a bit more established. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2010-03-17 |

Now that I have created a bin or two, I can begin to reduce the stockpile footprint, and properly adorn this room with glass pillars and statues. As the heart and soul of the fortress, this is the first room getting a thorough smoothing. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2010-03-17 |

Fortress: Irontwisted | Adhocracy
place of where the first serious ambushes came together and slaughtered the dogs on guard as well as the cattle. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2012-04-26 |

Masonry, Carpentry, Mechanics and Crafts are all slammed together in this little room ... for the time being. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2010-03-17 |

Fortress: Chamberwines | apparentbliss
For some reason, all the fortress critters seem to love the zoo more than the resident dwarves. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2009-07-24 |

This is kind of cheesy, but I had never done an all-in-one bedroom before, and wanted to play around with it. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2009-07-24 |

Fortress: Scaldrings | apparentbliss
The center of the main level of this fort, also serving as the dining room. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2015-06-29 |

Fortress: Sandbathed | apparentbliss
Site of two suffocations-by-sparring, this is easily the most dangerous room in the fortress. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2010-03-17 |

Fortress: Moistnesscloistered | apparentbliss
The main benefit of this is giving the dwarves a way back into the base that doesn't run them through a giant chunk of goblins near the wide entrancel Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2009-07-30 |

With the large surge in population afforded by the second wave of immigration, the textile industry was enabled to kick into full gear. Both of my first two strange (well, strange and fey) moods belonged to this group; the first, the weaver, did not receive legendary status, but the second, the clothier, did. Let the world quake in fear at the thought of masterwork socks. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2010-03-18 |

Fortress: Doortwinkles | apparentbliss
For now, the breeding pairs of llamas and yaks (got lucky on the wagon draw) just wander around by the gate. Eventually we'll fortify the hillside via ramp removal and some walls, or better yet, move the pasture somewhere safely out of the path of potential invasions. Fortress: Bogmoistness | apparentbliss
We are currently extending our one-room ecumenical temple out to a full complex, with devoted areas for each devotion. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2019-01-03 |

... and not a glob available to my Soap-Maker's. Not sure if it's a tallow issue, a lye issue, or both. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2011-03-05 |

Fortress: Syrupdeaths | apparentbliss
I had nearly filled up 5 10x10 squares full of stone storage with mostly cassiterite ore before I finally found more malachite with which to make bronze. Now my extra "expansion" wings look pretty unnecessary. Submitted by: apparentbliss - 2009-08-01 |
