Riverside Suite

This room in particular will go to whatever noble shows up first. All the rooms on this side of the river have been equipped with gem windows, which are pretty spectacular and flashy. I intend to give most dwarves a chance at living in one of these rooms, though you can see some more traditional windowless abodes on the other side.

I moved them up to this first layer of cliffs on the outside of my fortress. I like to imagine them visible to invading goblins - huge piles of their friends and relatives, frozen and unrotting.

Quarry

I hate the look of mudstone when built into walls (just like wood) and thus I have demanded that all the walls be made out of Mica, and the inner buildings out of Quartzite.

This is the top of my mining complex, the 2 levels below represent the culmination of my current mining affairs.

Expanded quite a bit since last spring. I've only hit some hematite and aluminum, though I'm not actively searching for metal.

I plan to continue to expand downward and eastward.
