Scout Barracks

This fortress had me trying a new military organization strategy. Once the elite squads had been filled, I began forming larger squads of inexperienced recruits, arming them with iron spear and shield, then calling them Scouts. These dwarfs were expendable, while their spears allowed for massive critical hit damage. They've also proven useful in quelling the occasional berserk dwarf.

I'm certain that this strategy of mass armament and light training helped win the two sieges.

Salmeuk the Second - Corpse

Having been the most useful noble in years I was quickly murdered by Taupe's minister of agriculture and goblin mistress Smetsu. You can see Smetsu rolling in his own excrement in the room to the right - the bright lad that he is.

Ruined camp

not everything was destroyed here, but most of the goods and (importantly!) tools have been randomly scattered across the desert plain. What a pain.

Rooms

Currently 3 z-layers, but easily expandable. Once the third layer is finished, all the dwarfs will have the option to claim their very own 3x3 room.

This fortress has few complaints.

Room Stack

4 rooms to a z-level, and it ends up being pretty efficient to designate.
