My friend and I were feeling bored one day, so we began talking about various gruesome dwarf/elf/goblin deaths in our fortresses. In that moment an idea came to me in a beam of golden light. After about an hour of feverish modding and gleeful testing (often interrupted by fits of maniacal laughter and helpful suggestions from my friend), I had created the ultimate long-ranged weapon: the Dwarven Hand Cannon. This weapon is so powerful, it can send a bronze colossus flying twenty tiles.
After discovering this, I proceeded to do the sensible thing: set up a massive battle of two opposing forces 300 strong, facing off across a river, each wielding the new cannon...
