The Office of the Deadly Accountant
The first attempt at what I hope will become a series of videos; where I build traps and try them out, with usually disastrous effects.
I usually build forts with tiny populations (10 or so), so I can't spare room for military dwarves. Thus, I spend a lot of time making deadly architecture, like this concealed drowning pit.
This one was actually a lot more complex that I thought it would be. Originally I was just going to take the whole floor out, but then I'd lose a good obsidian table and throne every time I threw the switch. That's an aquifer down there, I don't want to try and pump it out. So I left the ground there be. But then I thought, what if my victim blunders into one of the safe zones? I can't just close the bridge and run out of the room? (The initial design had the lever concealed in a tiny closet.) Following that train of logic led me to build the escape tunnel that runs around the north of that room. Why though? It's not like I'll be fighting goblins in there...but lets just say, the elves better be very polite next time they come to talk...
Test Victim: One(1) poor diplomat. Poor gal, she didn't deserve that...or did she?
No, she probably didn't. -
