Movie: Running the sump pump | AWDBall |
View / ReplySubmitted by: AWDBall - 2008-06-24Yeah, just green glass, but glass. The only things allowed in the fort that are not glass are the artifacts and somw wooden objects, beds barrels and the like. The furnaces look like stone but are green glass blocks. |

Mechanism Quality Pressure plate -> bridge speed test
The leftmost 2x2 wooden bridge has no-quality mechanisms connecting it to the pressure plate. The next one over has - quality, the next has +, the next *, and the one after that has the triple = quality mechanisms.
The final wooden bridge isn't hooked up due to lack of masterwork quality mechanisms in this fort.
The pressure plate is set to trigger on 4-7 water, and is linked to the hatch above it, which allows the pump above it to pump water off the pressure plate and back into the murky pool.
Results of the test: Mechanism quality in the link between a bridge and pressure plate has *no effect* on how long the bridge takes to raise/lower when the pressure plate sends the signal. Every bridge raised and lowered at the same time.
Note, however, that the hatch was opening/closing much faster than the bridges, and that the repeater appeared to be switching states faster than the bridges could respond. -
