Nice to see what would have happened had Dodók Oddemmeb offered his "advice" slightly earlier...

Movie: Fire Imp Plate+Hatch Test 3 Elvang

Fire imp fireballs don't seem to set stuff on fire unless the fireball itself stops on top of the item in question. This is, at least, how it works with them setting the world on fire - while the fireball leaves a trail of ashes, only the single tile the fireball hits will actually get set on fire.

I assume this is what had been attempted in Syrupleaf, only for "Mother"/"Your Grace" to order it demolished after it ran out of power.

Movie: U-bend at upstream end of river Kanddak

I know of only 2 things that will cause river water to traverse a U-bend up to its original level:

1. Damming the river downstream of the U-bend - it has nowhere else to go, so it goes thru the bend.
2. Pouring extra water onto the top of the river - pressure will push the water down, causing it to path through the U-bend.

Steam != mist.

Also, this movie proves pretty conclusively that it isn't possible to capture SoF in cages using cave-in dust. The only other possibility would be to use giant cave spider silk webs, and it's likely that they'd just burn them up.

You should be using that on the Elves, not the Dwarves - after all, the Elves deserve it, the dirty hippies.

Multiple bucketfuls of water circulating at the same time will not work - due to the timing of water movement, they will all merge together into a single block (and overflow if you had more than 7 units total) within a few seconds or so of it running.

Also, being submerged won't cause unhappy thoughts - it'll just make them cancel their current task ("Urist McDwarf cancels Attend Party: Dangerous terrain."). On the upside, though, it'll teach them how to swim (albeit very slowly).

Water pressure doesn't make its way through diagonal gaps, and you definitely want the water to be pressurized.

You had temperature turned off before, and they stepped in the magma at some point and thus had magma coatings on their feet. Thus, when you turned temperature back on, they burst into flames.

That pump looks to be a bit leaky - should probably move it 1 tile to the right so that its output tile will be sealed in.

(also, with temperature turned off [which it'd have to be, otherwise that axle would have burned up], magma won't be particularly dangerous)
