Movie: Ambushing squad leaders ignore cage traps | Drunken_Gun |
View / ReplySubmitted by: Nil Zirilrash - 2011-12-31I'm not 100% sure, but I think that agility + sneaking capability might allow creatures to get past traps untouched. I've had it where the squad leader will not activate the cage traps, dodge his way along my weapon trap corridor, then get beheaded by some novice axedwarf who really shouldn't have been there in the first place. I've also had it where they do activate the cage traps, but they're not caught. The latter is more common for me. That said, I've never had any creature, be he goblin, elf, or human, make it past that many cage traps without either activating one or being caught. |

Movie: The First Siege of Earthpolished | Nil Zirilrash |
View / ReplySubmitted by: Nil Zirilrash - 2011-11-27Sorry, the fortress got corrupted a while back due to a bug in my home-made sync program, shortly after I made this video. I no longer have Earthpolished :'(. I'm glad you like it, though. Also, sorry for the slow response. I literally have not been on since January '11. I kinda rage-quit from DF after the save died, though I'm now picking it back up. |

If you have other stone stockpiles in the fortress, they may have already claimed them. Or you may have accidentally designated them for use in another construction elsewhere. |

Movie: The First Siege of Earthpolished | Nil Zirilrash |
View / ReplySubmitted by: Nil Zirilrash - 2011-09-01Yep. I'm currently only using those notes to mark which lever/pressure plate is connected to what, so for me, the symbol of the note is really the only thing that matters. If I feel like setting up patrol points, I'll name then, but for indicating a linkage I'll just stick to symbols. They're easier to interpret at a glance. |
