Strange... metal doors are supposed to look the same as stone doors (though they're really supposed to look slightly different as in 40d) - perhaps this is another variant of the olivine door display bug?

Nothing unusual - captured goblin soldiers never make attempts to escape (or scare civilians) when being escorted; only thieves make attempts to escape.

Also, forgotten beasts show up all the time - nothing particularly spoilery about them. Also also, where's the !!fire!!?
