View / ReplySubmitted by: gerkinzola - 2009-10-11i noticed that above your entrance there are ONLY fortifications... i personally like to only place a few fortifications so my marksdorfs can still fire out yet civilains can still resupply them with ammo in nearby stockpiles without being scared off... just my two cents |

View / ReplySubmitted by: gerkinzola - 2009-10-11just a tip: when two entities such as dwarfs meet on the same tile and are passing each other one (or both) needs to lie on the ground for the other to pass, this creates a large slowdown if they need to do this multiple times and also can be taxing on your computer if say 100-200 dwarves are doing this, therefore it can be very beneficial to make hallways 3 or more tiles wide. |

View / ReplySubmitted by: gerkinzola - 2009-10-11interesting entrance, however there is no airlock between your fort and the outside so you can let the traders in without risking your fort... just a suggestion/observation |

I thought I was done for when he first came onto my map. I immediately gave the command to raise the drawbridge, drafting some hapless victims to distract it while my orders were carried out. Then, a trade caravan showed up. In response, I mobilized my entire, mostly unarmed, army. Somehow, they managed to throw the big dope into this lake here. Ever sine then, he just sits there, unmoving, staring glumly at the drowned dwarf he managed to drag in with him. Every once in a while, a dwarf will try to fish over here, and the colossus will scare it away, but that's it. - unimportantguy
