View / ReplySubmitted by: Fleeting Frames - 2020-04-19A side view POI might be appropriate. 34z library tower...It's a grand plan, but I imagine all the channeling leads to fps loss without retire-unretire (which would throw about books). |

View / ReplySubmitted by: Fleeting Frames - 2019-11-17Yeah, it looks lot more flat in 3d visualizer, an actual hillock in hill rather than a mountain. In 2d view, ten z-levels down is a lot, but ten sideways is nothing much - this makes it more visible. |

View / ReplySubmitted by: Fleeting Frames - 2019-10-29Thanks! Though I may have overcomplicated the precision, here. I've been somewhat inspired by forts like Smallabbey or keupo's Slingcontrols or Dancingglove. |

View / ReplySubmitted by: Fleeting Frames - 2016-09-11Yeah. Completed in summer (slow architects), it yields somewhere around 1k exp per day per dwarf (being very consistent). It takes longer to max out all five (Agility, Endurance, Toughness, Spatial Sense, Kinesthetic Sense), though. Many dwarfves have 4400-4900 caps. |

View / ReplySubmitted by: Wyrframe - 2008-06-13I like the start on your skylights, and the rooftop barracks. I've been using similar designs on an island fortress, although my (incomplete; one more winter to go) dining hall is glass all around; floor, walls, and ceiling. What makes it nifty is that the walls and entire floor look into the lake. |

The same kind of pattern is repeated a few levels up and down. The rooms are just big enough to get good quality without having to resort to engraving the entire thing.
I've been very tempted to put levers in each of the bedrooms, and have the levers lock the outside doors to the hallway. Gives the nobles something to do before they kick the bucket, especially that damn hammerer. >=P -
