Map: Channeledthunder - 1066 | MastaODisasta |
View / ReplySubmitted by: MastaODisasta - 2008-06-04Faithfulaxe self destructed in an orgy of violence after some goblins barged in and trashed the place. It was quite tragic. Perhaps it was for the better, the population was getting out of hand. |

View / ReplySubmitted by: MastaODisasta - 2008-05-16That's probably what I should have done, and have had another dining room on a different level. Actually, I can probably hollow out some of the back housing blocks to turn into workshops. That's what I'll do. |

Currently sullied by a loose mechanism (whoops), this is my current water-source. This surface-dry map was originally plumbed into the caverns using well-shafts (near this location, starting up a couple of Z-levels and reaching nearly to the surface), but those are not proof against flying-FB unless given lever-controlled hatches. And so this new solution was dug, ASAP. With more rotational symmetry in its design, below this layer (currently closed against the caverns, as an experiment to see how much liquid I need over a given time) is a lower sump currently kept dry by dint of constructed bridges. When eventually filled, and re-isolated, the sump can be used as a fast water-source in some further hydraulic works that I may care to create. - Starver
