Masterwork iron thrones and tables let dwarves eat while booze is stored in stockpiles on either side of the dining hall so its always close at hand.
Dwarves don't spend very long eating so not many tables are actually needed. This fortress has around 240 dwarves. The existing tables are never used even halfway. -
