I have only this to say: Speed Kills

(Seriously, this is by far one of the best fortresses I've ever seen and I look at all of them)

Ooo....great idea! I was actually wondering what the hell I was going to do with my magma glassworks. Satisfying picky fey moods just didn't seem like enough.

You have a laughably small farm area for the size of your fort. It's no wonder everyone is starving. Are you trying to kill them?

If you are new-ish to DF I recommend turning off all menial hauling tasks for a few of your farmers. Just a few dedicated talented farmers can feed hundreds.

I'm definitely not happy with the way some of the noble villas turned out. I agree that the diagonal tiles look awful, though I'm not so much worried about any nasties down that way.

Wow. I mean really....wow. Yes, this entry-way is truly of the finest craftsmanship. I only wonder how many 3 liter bottles of Mountain Dew had to die to bring us this truly glorious sight.

This would take a ton of work, but have you thought about protecting the castle itself with some blocking channels, then making a channel (maybe multiple) for lava flow into the frontal glacier areas. Also, maybe you can hook each of those bridges up to a switch so they all flipped up.

I love the shop placed in the twisty defense hallway at the front.

"Hey Gorumukak, sieging dorfs boring. Hey, look shiny GAP store!...Hey...you hear sound like water?"

I like it, too. Though my wrist aches just looking at it.

Just as a point of advice, and since you seem to be fairly new to DF, your exploratory tunnels to find iron are bit less than efficient, if that's their sole goal. You'll notice that that platinum seam you've already uncovered spans 50+ tiles and so too will iron, most likely. Sending probe shafts up 20-30 tiles apart will find you the iron (and everything else) quicker. I usually have it located by my third year and I tend to look for it more casually than most.

Of course, if your goal is to uncover gems or level up miners to later draft them into the army, then this works, but may actually be detrimental to your army as they need iron to gear up, I think.
