When I embark, I take a look at the site and determine what I want to do with the fort and how to achieve it. I went for impressive because the site worked so well with that. Then I made the entrance bridge, and went on from there. |

View / ReplySubmitted by: Aldaris - 2009-04-08Why thank you, I specifically searched for the site to have a chasm and long cave river so I could build a 3d fort with features as much like the 2d version as possible. That's the reason I built so far from the magma pipe, which is, by the way, causing some serious timing problems seeing how long it takes for new magma from the pipe to reach the advancing front. A new update will be coming soon, involoving a lot of redened river. |

You should make your entrance a tunnel into the hill on the other side of the low river, and then a bridge a few levels over the river, into the hill. The upper river is also awesome, as it's guarded by carp, but they die off when tossed off the waterfall. |
